2 weeks and no Ranking!

Hi All,

I have been developing my site for over 2 weeks now but it has not been ranked by Google as yet. Can soemone have a look and tell me why it has taken so long? I have another site which is a WordPress site and that got ranked in 3 days?

I have added in the decription, keyword (maybe too many) and tired to SEO it as best I can but still nothing. I suspect I have done something wrong and it is stopping me from promoting the site in order to earn some money!

What exactly have you done to try and get this site indexed ?

Typically web2.0 sites get indexed quicker because google loves them and they have built in ping and rss capabilities as a rule so there for key websites are notified anytime anything is published on them.

If I know what you have tried i could make a few suggestions.

Hi Dhiren,

First of all I can see text on your site that was on the original template, you need to re-write all the text on the site in your own words to have a better chance of ranking (around 40 sites have the same text as you).

Secondly I cannot see any links to your site, the more links you have the more popular your site seems to search engines such as Google so get creating backlinks!

Even with all the quickest methods to get into Google it can still take 3-4 days to get indexed, if you do no backlinks then it'll take around 2 months :wrong:

Thanks Jonathan for the review. I'll aim to re-work the templates and see how to increase the backlinks. I did use the Free Traffic website to create backlinks and it shows that i have 13 so far since I submitted my article so unsure why you mentioned there are none. I'll have to look into that one!

If I want to start adding in banners and other images etc would I need to employ a web designer to do it as each time I have tried it messes up the original template design as I am literally guessing where to place such things?

Thaks for looking at the site. To reply to your question as to what I have done to get it indexed I have made the following changes:

Given the site a description section and added keywords I researched on Google for my main and secondary areas
Renamed all images on all pages with my keyword, "Earning from Home.jpg" etc
Put my keyword at the begining and end of the home page
Put in my keyword on all other pages throughout the text (I still need to reword the pages to some extent)
Added my site details on Google and Bing to get indexed

I still need to direct articles to the site so as to build backlinks and have made use of freetraffic system website to increase thse links.

What would you suggest that I add?

I'm not sure what the free traffic system is, it sounds like a paid link service which will harm your site so please provide details.

You don't need a web designer to add the banners in, all you have to do is grab the banner code from the "advertising tools" section and place it within your HTML code. If you have problems doing this I believe there's a guide in the affiliate workshop (http://www.highprofits.com/external-page-affiliate_workshop.php),

Hi Jonny,

Thanks for your mail. The free traffic site I am referring to is freetrafficsystem.com which allows blogs to backlink to your site once you have written articles.

Please take a look at my site now as it is completley changed text and all, earningfromhome.org

However I have a bigger problme I just found out about this evening and that is why does my site only show up in Firefox and not Explorer? Could it be due to this that the ranking still has not taken place?

I too am puzzled why your site isn't showing up in Internet explorer but I've found a couple of odd things in the code:

Also do you have a file called .htaccess in the root of your hosting (where the index.html file is)? If so delete it as that may be causing the error.

Start building some links to your site, you can start by adding a link into your signature on this forum and you'll get a backlink everytime you post :wink:

Thanks Jonny for your review and suggestions to take out the possible scripting errors. I have also removed the htaccess file but Explorer still doesn't want to pick up the site :mad:

I have tried to print screen what it shows but this thread won't allow it. What could it be as it's really getting frustrating now There is a file called ftpquota on the root file which I do not know anything about. Could it be this?

When the security warning comes up in Explorer it says it is trying to open the file earningfromhome_org

Any ideas as to what this is?

your web has been indexed by google now, and you have got some backlink from PR4.

Thanks for your messge.

Yes teh site has been ranked by Google and it coem up on the first slot when you search for the keyword, earningfromhome.

The PR4 Backlinks were created by a buy in package called Pauls Backlinks. It helps initially to get the site up and running.

It looks good, but I like a website that would give me a word of hope

Have you tried pjs backlinks great for building back links to your site quickly and easily bit boring mind . Oh do you know how to create anchor texts. , I use them and after 3 month three of my keywords are on the first page of google. Also did you research your keywords to see how much competition there is you can research at google adwords
