HighProfits – What this forum and community is all about

The three guidlines

The HighProfits forum is a gathering place and community for all of those who who promote HighProfits products or have an interest in affiliate marketing. HighProfits focuses on providing it’s users with the most up-to-date information about their products and affiliate marketing, whilst providing a simple, safe and friendly community where users feel welcome.

At HighProfits, we believe that we stick to our principles, and we are proud of what we have created. We aim to continue the growth we have enjoyed so far, and work on improving the program and products on a daily basis to continue to provide the best services to our affiliates. All of our affiliates are important to us, and we believe that we offer more to them that any other affiliate program in resources, quality products, comission structures, bonuses and service.

We continue to get many affiliates signing up to HighProfits every day, and we feel that it is in the best interests of all of our members to establish certain posting guidelines to protect the community. I realise that some people may see this as ‘censorship’, and that it’s a forum and people should be able to post whatever they want. However, in forums that I have run previously, I did listen to these ideas of 'free posting', and let things go unchecked. However, rapidly members, including myself, began to feel uneasy on the forum as a minority of people abused this ‘freedom’ and abused the forum and its ethics.

For this reason, we will now BAN ANYONE who comes to HighProfits forum just to make personal attacks on other members or create a hostile environment for people.

We realise that this is a generally adult forum, and that of course a large part of the forum is banter with other members – this is of course allowed! Debates over marketing strategies, traffic sources, web site designs and other things like that are fine, and there are areas here specifically for that purpose. What we will not tolerate is;

1) Prolonged, deliberate attacks on other members of the site. This is an adult site, and as such we expect people to behave like adults. Do not attack people on a personal basis.

2) Treat the moderators with respect. They look after the site and keep things running smoothly in their own free time, and as such deserve thanks and respect from the site. If you have a complaint that you cannot make courteously, then I suggest that you take it up with myself, Dave, but I warn you – if you are abusive I will look very unfavourably on you.

3) Don’t trash the site or the forum. We are of course open to suggestions on how to improve, and I always, always ask members for feedback on any changes I make before implementing them. However, if you post trash about the site or forum, expect it to be deleted. You would not go to someones house and tell them their décor is ugly. So don’t do it here. Constructive criticism ( i.e. ‘I like the colours, but I think that purple is a bit garish – have you considered making it a lighter shade’) is welcome, but destructive criticism ( i.e. ‘This is the ugliest site I have ever had the misfortune to see) is not welcome and will be removed from the forum.

Basically, we want to keep HighProftis a friendly, safe and popular site, and we feel that if we allow any of the above three things to happen, it lowers the enjoyment and also the usefulness of the site for everyone.

I am sure that the vast majority of the users of HighProfits will agree that these 3 simple guidelines are a positive thing and enhance the forum and community features for everyone.

Wishing you success

HighProfits Team
