How many sites should one person own?

I was wondering, how many sites can one person own, and if so, what's the best amount? I am not sure how many sites is appropriate for one person, but I imagine you can have as many as you can afford, right?

I personally own over 30 websites. The best to do is choose one main domain, a couple of other domains that pertain to a certain niche and add subdomains. I only own 3 top level domains (.com) and over 10 free .tk domains.
