Hi everyone, I am an affilate newbie. Yesterday I set up my basic site using one of the free templates, its live now (www.homecashmaker.net), I have read about adwords, seo's etc and find it all a bit confusing. How am I best linking keywords to my site and do I need lots of content on my site containing these keywords etc as its only got a small amount of content around the links to the products.

What I would recommend is find one keyphrase to work with and then create a squidoo lens to drive traffic to your main website which we will call your money page.

The more outside sources that link to your money page, the more 'relevant' the search engines think your website is and thus increases it's ranking for your target keyword.

So with this in mind, some outside websites to consider:

1. Squidoo
2. eZineArticles
3. YouTube

Create accounts with all of the above to drive targeted traffic to your money page.

Hope this helps.

Mag gives good advice...

How to drive traffic to your site. This is what every internet marketer is obsessed with. It's not really about driving traffic. It's about driving targeted traffic. You could always go out and chase the social traffic but it won't convert and they won't buy any of your affiliate products.

The key is to rank high on Google. You do this by on page and off page search engine optimization. You should focus most of your time into getting relevant key word anchored backlinks. You can do this for free as Mag suggest with sites like:

eZineArticles
Squidoo
Hubpages
GoArticles

Use relevant key word anchored back links, this is key. Hope this helps.
