Twitter...we took the plunge

Whats peoples verdict on this? Waste of time or useful tool? Is it the next level of keeping in touch with friends, family and things of interest...or just a pointless distraction from 'real' interaction with people?

I hate Twitter, but boy is it a good tool. Your 'tweets' are out of date in seconds, but you can catch millions of eyeballs in the process. I suppose it's a numbers game.

There's even people/companies PAYING others to sit and Tweet all day long. Mentalists!!

I am also new on here. I was wondering what the general verdict was on using Twitter as a marketing tool? I have not yet took the plunge but I am considering it. I have quite a useful Twitter marketing guide if anyone wants a look. :)

Nice, I have for most of my websites. I know a guy that has a mass of followers that are eager to find new partners if you need any. I got about 1000 in just a couple weeks.
