Default Custom Made Suits and Shirts 5 Things You Want to Know Before Buying Online

From Savile Row in London to 5th Avenue in New York City to Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, custom made garments are a staple of the fashion industry. For most people in the west, high quality custom made designer business suits & shirts are a luxury most cannot afford. This is the primary reason why buying custom tailor made clothing online from the Far East has become so popular.
But before you Google custom made suits and/or business dress shirts, there are 5 things you want to be aware of. First, you want to know what is the minimum unit (i.e., suit or shirt) you can order. Some manufacturer's minimum order is one, 100, or even as much as 500 units. If youe a customer looking to make an investment in wardrobe with a tailored suit, then you certainly don't want to order more than you have to just to cash in on a great deal. Second, make sure there are no ancillary (hidden) fees. You don't want to be excited about buying a custom designer business suit for $300 bucks, but then realize there are additional costs ranging from $25 to $100 for personal customizations like a monogram interior suit pocket or monogram French cuffs.Third, there should always be an area on the website for you to submit your measurements, AND if youe not familiar with how to record your measurements, the website should have instructions if not a video on how to do so. Submitting your measurements online is highly suggested so that your order can be expedited.
If you have to fax and/or email your measurements to the manufacturer, then there is always a chance for it to get lost or the email not being opened, which will result in your order being delayed.Fourth, when purchasing a custom tailor made suit and/or shirt online from a manufacturer that is located in a different country, you want to find out the turnaround time from the time you order your garment to the time you should expect delivery. A good turnaround time for tailored clothing is about 3-6 weeks. Anything sooner than that, then you should expect to pay an arm and a leg for shipping. Finally, although the thread count is important (i.e., Super 150), what more important is the quality of work.
For example, you want to know if the manufacturer fuses the lining of the suit by simply ironing or by using a hydraulic pressing machine. If it the former, then the lining will begin to fall apart after a couple of trips to the dry cleaner.Always remember, you are supposed to fit into ready-made (off-the-rack) clothing, but custom tailored garments are specifically made to fit you AND your personality!
