Phil, I want to market this product using the review template provided. I am new to affiliate marketing but of course I have read about duplicate content. Is re-wording enough or do I also need to change the layout?

Re-wording it will be fine. You don't have to change the design at all.

Just change a few sentences here and there to your own words. You could also add a few articles to help make the site different. Change the titles of the articles that are included with the site.
